Spiritual Amnesia – Our Lost Memories Restored
DANIEL 4:30-36
30 The king spake, and said (This is king Nebuchadnezzar), Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? (Notice here how that his thoughts were completely focused on how great that he thought he was, and of how that the wisdom that had built this great city of Babylon had all come out from his own personal ability. And so all this pride had gathered up in his heart because of how great that he thought he was – and now he is literally singing out his own praise of worship to himself – man has to worship something, even if it is himself.)
31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying (We want to notice here the effect that this voice had on the king), O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar (Notice how this experience resulted in a very sudden event of mental illness): and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. (Mental illness is connected to and will often follow human pride, because within an hour of hearing this voice, Nebuchadnezzar had completely lost the memory of who he was – and so this is a form of amnesia.
We can be certain that he would have received at least some level of shock from hearing this voice speaking to him from heaven, and somehow that shock had caused him in less than an hour to lose his memory of who he was and of his positioning as the king of Babylon
The word that they use for this condition today is the word “Boanthropy”
(Bo-an-thro-py), which is a rare psychological disorder of when a person thinks that they are a cow or an ox.)
34 ¶ And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me (notice the cure here for his mental illness – it’s when you lift your eyes of understanding up toward heavenly things), and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
We notice here how that when his memory was restored back to him, then that was when he was also restored back to the position of what he had fallen from as the king of Babylon.
*And so this is showing us that before we are fully restored back to what we fell from in Eden, that the memories of our past and of what our identity and position was in the mind of God must also be restored back to our memories in this hour.

JOB 38:4-7
4 ¶ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. (If Job would have been able to remembered back to the time of his existence before his human life on earth had begun, then he would have had that understanding of where he was when God had laid the foundations of the earth – but he couldn’t remember. It wasn’t that he wasn’t there – it was that he couldn’t remember)
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
All this information – Job didn’t know, because he had lost all of that memory from his pre-existence.
And so these are some of the great questions of mankind – and these same questions also become a part of the mysteries that God had sealed up until this end time age.
REVELATION 10:7
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel (We are right now living in the days of the voice of this seventh angel), when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
*A mystery is when certain portions of key information of truth is kept back and hidden – like a “who done it” murder mystery, the whole story is about finding out the truth about “who did it”, and often it only takes a small key of the information of a certain truth to be opened up in order to reveal the secret of the entire mystery – and that is what the opening of the seven seals have done for us in this hour. God didn’t have to explain and expound on every single verse of the bible – He just had to unlock certain scriptures that were key scriptures, so that when the understanding of those scriptures were made known, then they would unlock the entire mystery of the entire bible.

INTRODUCTION
Though this volume will concern itself with various major doctrines (such as the Godhead, Water Baptism, etc.) found in Revelation, chapters One through Three, its main theme is the setting forth of a detailed study of the Seven Church Ages. This is necessary in order to study and understand the rest of the Revelation, for out of the Ages come the Seals, and out of the Seals come the Trumpets, and out of the Trumpets come the Vials. Like the first burst of a Roman candle, the Church Ages come forth with a mighty initial illumination, without which there could be no further light. But once the brilliance of the Seven Church Ages is given by Divine revelation, light upon light follows, until the whole of the Revelation opens wide before our wondering eyes; and we, edified and purified by its Spirit, are made ready for His glorious appearing, even our Lord and Saviour, the One True God, Jesus Christ.
**We must remember that what identifies the true bride of each age (and especially in this last age), is that those of the elected gentile bride will be able to go beyond the camp of their previous age’s revelation and be able to hear and receive the truth of the revelation of what God has sent as the light for their current age. *That has always been what qualifies the elect of each age.
*And so in this last age of the “bride age” - it took the seven thunder voices of God to sound (remember that the seven thunders are the revelations contained in the seven seals), in order to opened up the mystery of the entire bible and revealed to us a level of truth in this hour of which the light of human understanding had never shone on before.
**And that understanding includes the truth of our identity of who we are and of how that our names are written in the eternal word of God. Nebuchadnezzar’s memory loss came by him hearing a voice from heaven – but in this hour, God has sent a voice to restore our memories back to us again so that we can go back to Eden. Because when King Nebuchadnezzar’s memory was restored back to him, he was also then restored back to the position that he had fallen from.
**We remember how that it was the Holy Ghost working within the life of Brother Branham that had supernaturally guided all the experiences of his life in order for his life to fit all the prophecies that were written in the word concerning him.

… He is working all things at this moment according to the purpose of His own will. He is right in the midst of it all. He is in the midst of His church. This great Creator, Saviour-God is faithfully working amongst His own right now as the great Shepherd of the sheep. His very existence is for His own. He loves them and cares for them. His eye is ever upon them. When the Word says that "your lives are hid with Christ in God" it means exactly what it says. Oh, I am so glad that my God abides faithful. He is true to Himself, He won't lie. He is true to the Word, He will back it up. He is true to us, He will lose none of us, but raise us up in the last day. I am glad that I am resting in His faithfulness
And so the same Holy Spirit that enabled Brother Branham to see the revelation of himself sealed up in the bible of his life written in the word under all those certain scriptures in that He was the servant at supper time calling the halt the lame, and the blind – a healing revival ministry.
*And that he was the chief reaper in the book of Ruth who introduces Ruth to Boaz as well as many other scriptures that we have already spoken of in previous services. It was the opening up of the mystery of the word that unlocked these truths to him in order to revealed to him his eternal position in the economy of God – but when he was born into the earth, he had lost the memory of that, but when the word was opened to him, then his memory of those previous things of who he was in the thoughts of God was restored to him.
*And so that same Holy Spirit that opened the seven seals and showed Brother Branham’s part to him in the bible of who he really was, is the same Holy Spirit that has done exactly the same thing for us by leading us into the understanding of where our parts of scripture that identify us were sealed up in the bible.
JOHN 16:13
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
And this is where we ended at last week.
***Because we showed how that when Jesus spoke of John the Baptist in the day that he lived in, Jesus pointed to John’s name written under scripture in the bible – he placed his identity in the bible, and John also placed himself in the bible, and Jesus placed Himself in the bible, and how that in this hour, Brother Branham placed himself in the bible.
*And so as the end time gentile bride of this hour, we must be able to place ourselves in the bible in order to fully reveal who we are in this day.
**But you can’t place yourself in the bible unless the bible is first opened up to you like it was to Jesus and to John and to Brother Branham.
**The bible has to be opened up to you in order for your name to be revealed by the scriptures of prophecy that pertains to you for this hour.
**And so this is what the secret place of that third pull little room does for you and I - it is Boaz covering Ruth under his wings – it’s his garment, his promise to her, his marriage covenant, or what we would say in this hour, it’s the garment of the revelation of His original word covering us again like what Adam and Eve had covering them in Eden before the fall.
Because it’s the agreement of words that produce the marriage covenant promise – Adam and Eve were covered by the protection of the word of God.
PSALM 27:5 (this is the rapture scripture)
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
**This rock is the revelation of our names written in the word. And this secret place is the third pull ministry of the opening of the word, because this is the repeat of Ruth and Boaz at the secret place for this hour.

18-6 …the Angel's voice, He said, "I'll meet you in there, and this is the third pull, but nobody will know nothing about it."
And I said, "Well, I don't understand why in there. Why there?"
He said, "It will not be a public show this time."
*And so for us to see our names written in the bible, then we can only do that by seeing our life matching certain portions of the prophecy of scripture that are promised to be fulfilled in the time that we are living in now - because the word interpreted is the manifestation of the name.

214 And the Name is in the Word because He is the Word. Amen! What is He then? The Word interpreted is the manifestation of the Name of God.
***And so this is why that the opening of the word is the main thing for this day that deals with the restoring of our lost memories of who we really are – it deals with our spiritual amnesia.
*This word “Amnesia”, in basic terms is to do with various levels of “memory loss”.
It refers to either a partial or total loss of memory that can either be a temporary or a permanent loss.
And so it’s the inability for a person to be able to retrieve certain types of information from their memory, of information of what they had once known before, but has become “lost memories” as we would say.
*And so when a person loses their memory, then that is simply their lack of being able to access information of past events. It is their inability to recall thoughts that you would usually have been able to easily retrieve from your mind, and so it’s in effect like you have lost access to that portion of information, and information is key – because information is the fundamental of all things, because without information there is nothing.
*And this is why that scientists are now discovering and beginning to realise more and more that information is the thing that is at the fundamental of all things.
Because when you go smaller than the atoms, and smaller than the condensed energy fields of what those atoms are made from, and you go right to the very foundation of the what is at the bottom of everything that exists, you will find that at the absolute bottom of everything that exists or ever will exist is information.
Information, or we could say – “The thoughts of God” is the fundamental and foundation line of all things.
In the beginning was the word – and words are simply the information of thoughts expressed.
**That is why the bible tells us that heavens and earth will pass away, but the word of God (of which His word is the expression of the information of His thoughts) is eternal and therefore can never pass away.
**Without information there could be no creation or creator, because without information there would be no thoughts of God, and so therefore there would be no word of God existing, because it takes thoughts to give birth to words, because a word is a thought expressed.
**And then if there was no information, and no creation, then there would also be no observer of the creation, because observation and realisation is simply the transfer of information.
**This is why a creation requires observers of that creation in order to give purpose to that creation.
**It’s like an artist - an artist needs to have observers of the art or there would be no purpose for that art to exist. Because what would be the purpose of a beautiful painting being created unless there would be observers to appreciate that painting – and so it is the observers that give purpose to the artist.
***And that is why that it is God’s eternal and ongoing purpose to reveal Himself to people of which He has designed us to be observers of the great art of His endless creative attributes.
And this is why it is God’s purpose is to share His eternal life with us.
COLOSSIANS 1:16-17
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
**There are different types of amnesia.
Alzheimer's is similar to Amnesia but yet different in that Alzheimer’s is a progressive and irreversible brain disease that slowly destroys memory, reasoning, and daily living skills over a period of years.
While Amnesia refers to a partial or total loss of memory, usually due to some sudden traumatic event.
*And this is where we pick up on what the Prophet tells us in Spiritual Amnesia.

37 Now, this amnesia, we're told it is a--a--a... cause you to be to a place where you cannot identify yourself. Now, it's a unusual thing. It don't happen too often, but the causes is from shock. It's somebody that don't even know who they are. You find it from wars, sometime, soldiers get it. Sometimes people get it. Another thing causes it, is worry. Worry will cause it.
38 Worry has no virtue to it, at all. Yeah, just--just--just skip worry, and accept faith.
39 Someone said, "Well, now, what if you're going to be shot in the morning, wouldn't you worry?"
I said, "No, don't think so."
"Why?"
I said, "Worry couldn't do nothing but make me worse."
"Well, what good is it going to do to have faith?"
I said, "It might deliver me." And that's right, see.
40 So worry has no virtue to it, at all, but faith has all virtue. Believe!
Now worry sometime cause it.
41 And another thing that cause it among the people, is getting between two opinions. That'll cause amnesia. And it gets you to a place where you--you, actually, what you've done, you've lost your reasons. You've lost your mind. You can't make... You don't know who you are. You can't identify yourself. You can walk around, eat and everything, but, you, still you can't identify yourself. You have got your scholarly education, you can... same education you had, but you don't know where it come from, you don't know who you are, where you belong. That's amnesia, so we are told.
42 We are identified with our families, in this human life, by marriage. And with our wives, we marry, and our family is identified by the union of our--our--our marriage. And then, what to think, what if this horrible thing would happen to you and you wouldn't be able to remember who you married, who's your wife, which is your children, who is your father and mother, who is your neighbor? That would be a--a horrible thing.
43 Then we are identified, again, can identify ourselves in the human race, by having intelligence and--and being different from the animal life. The animal cannot think, he just goes by sounds. He has no soul. And, but, we're animal life. What makes us different... We're a mammal, but what... That mammal is warm-blooded animal, and we are in the feature of animal But what makes us different, we're identified by having a soul, a conscience that tells us what's right and wrong.
44 Now there is a place, when you get this amnesia, you might get like Nebuchadnezzar, it was, who exalted himself one time, and God let him think he was an animal. And he lived out in the wilderness and--and eat grass like an ox. And--and his--his hairs growed down his body, like eagle feathers, and he had become the heart of a beast in him. See? That was amnesia, because he had forgotten that he was a king. He had forgotten that he was a human being. And he thought he was a animal, so he acted like an animal, because he forgot he was a human being.
**There is a type of Amnesia called Retrograde Amnesia, and this is the main one that is used to describe a person who has the inability to remember the details of their personal identity and life history, and this is usually caused because of some trauma or some sort of great shock or something on that order.
**We know that king Nebuchadnezzar would have no doubt received some sort of a shock when he heard the voice from heaven speaking to him – and we can also look at this in a positive way, because when we were born, we came into this earth without a memory of where we came from and of where we were when the sons of God shouted for joy in the presence of God.
Brother Branham tells the story of the French solder…

162 A French soldier. I was told a little story; before we close. I didn't know it was even that late, and I got about ten pages of notes here left; get it some other time. Notice, a French soldier. They got a bunch of soldiers in from the army, and they had this amnesia. It's from shock, on the battle. And they had a program, and they--they called up and let people who had missing loved ones to call and see if they could identify these boys. No hope for them, maybe one or two, out of it, caught it. And then they took the rest of them, they was going to put them in a sanitarium, where they'd have to stay the rest of their life.
163 They was going up the hillside, train pulling; and they stopped at a station, let the boys get out and stretch their legs. And the guards got out on the hill, to watch them, because with amnesia, why, they--they had to watch them.
164 So they watched one young fellow there, he got out and begin to look around at that water tank, looked all around over the hill. He rubbed his face, and he studied. And he looked again, and he seen that water tank. He looked all around at the station, and he started walking. Instead of the guard stopping him, he followed him.
165 He went up over the hill, down a little path, turned to the right and went up over another little hill, and come to a little log cabin. He looked. Coming out on the porch, an old man with a cane in his hand, come out and throwed his arms around him. Said, "My son, I knowed you would return. They told me you were dead, but I knowed you would return." And the boy come to himself. His amnesia left him. He could identify who he was. He knowed that was his father.
166 Oh, soldier of the Cross, that's been shocked with so much training, so many shocks of denomination and creed, and things of the world, why don't you just step off for a few minutes and go to looking around at the Bible? Might wander around, and you might find yourself identified here in the Word, as a believer, one of these days. You might not know Him. You may come to yourself, like the prodigal son did, and find yourself. You might find your identification in the Words of God.
Notice here - the journey along familiar places is a method that is used to help with lost memories being restored.
The kind guard that was looking after this young man (a type of the 5-fold ministry of this hour), he knew to allow the boy with amnesia to follow a certain path that the boy had recognised in order for his memory to be restored and that he could come back to His father’s house again.
**And that is why that the opening up of the mysteries of the word to us are those familiar pathways that will help to restore our memory loss of who we were in the mind of God before we came to this earth.
And this is what we ended last week on with our subject “Under His Wings” of when we were talking about making our election and calling sure, Because Ruth became sure at the time of when she was covered by the garment of Boaz, and we have been covered by the garment of the revelation of the word of this hour – and this is clearly connected to the marriage covenant of where we can be certain of God and of His protection in this hour, because by Him covering us by the garment of His revealed word in this hour, we are now the full property of His focus and His care.
