Demonology Pt.2
EPHESIANS 6:10-15
10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Our battle is not predominantly in this physical world, but it is in the spiritual world.
***The greatest battle ever fought is fought in our thinking, and so the bible is telling us the different types of weapons and protection that we will need to deal with the enemy. But through lack of knowledge the people perish.
REVELATION 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
**We want to understand by the word what allows and gives an evil spirit access into someone’s body (as a disease) or into the persons spirit realm of their thoughts.

***There are 3 realms that evil spirits can dwell within a person - in your body, or in your spirit, or in your soul.
An evil spirit in a person’s soul will manifest itself by its unbelief of the word of God, so for an unbeliever, it is an actual spirit of unbelief against the word of God abiding in their soul that is dominating that person’s life and everything that they do.
**Brother Branham calls Satan “that great spirit of unbelief”
***Spirits can gain access into people when their reasoning and memory and imagination (which is their mind) all come into agreement with something contrary to the word, that is when an evil spirit can ride in through that channel on those thoughts of unbelief and gain access into a person life.

19-2…If you've got your senses, see, taste, feel, smell, and hear, they're all right, but don't trust them unless they agree with the Word. They're all right, but if they disagree with the Word, don't you listen to them.
Now, imaginations, conscience, memories, reasons, and affection, they're all right, if they agree with the Word. But if your affection doesn't agree with the Word, get rid of it; you blow a flue right quick. See? If your reason disagrees with the Word get away from it. That's right. The engine... If your memory, if your imaginations, if your conscience, anything disagrees with that, what's on the inside, get rid of it.
The serpent caused Eve’s mind to come into agreement with him by her human reasoning, and when she agreed with the serpent, then a spirit of unbelief of the word entered into and darkened her soul.
Last week we saw how a boy who was insane became that way because of a sin that his father had committed. So we realise that that is one way that a spirit can get access into a person, is by the sins of their parents.

E-6 …You have to realize that every person has a spirit in them. And if the person could only see what kind of a spirit dominated your life, you that act indifferent towards Christ, you'd be ashamed of yourself.
No matter how you're dressed, and how well, how popular you are with put the peoples, yet in your heart if God could only turn the looking glass to your heart...
E-7 Many times in dealing with spiritual things, you see them when they move out. Someone was just asking me here not long ago. I was at Calgary, Canada, and a boy come in; they had him in a straight jacket. And they come in the back of the room, and he was cursing and carrying on, and--and I never heard such in my life. And the father was trying to hold him, and when he got on the inside, he looked over to me and said, "William Branham, you ain't got nothing to do with me."
Oh, that father looked up, said, "He don't even know his own name. How'd he know your name?"
I was standing off a great distance from him. Oh, how he was cursing me and carrying on. And he said, "You ain't got nothing to do with me." And I asked the audience if they'd just be reverent. The ushers come to take him out, just then I seen the Holy Spirit move out, the Angel of the Lord. I said, "Now, bring him here just a minute." When they went to bring him, he started kicking, and frothing, and biting. He was in a--a straight jacket, and they brought him up close to... And then when the vision come and told just what it was, a sin that had been committed by his father that caused the child to be in that condition, the father fell down and repented. And when that evil spirit went from that boy, thousands times thousands of people in the stampede grounds there that night, looked, and like a great big spider in a black shadow floating around... Oh, my. It was really quite. And it went around out of the place, out through the building and went away.
… It behoves you to check your spiritual conditions every hour of the day and be ready, for you don't know what time it's coming. God has made a way. He's sending everything, the preaching of the Word, signs, wonders. He gives one the message of preaching, another the sign message, another, everything, not willing that any should perish, setting His gifts in order in the Church, and so forth; and still people continually wade right on through and just like they didn't even pay any attention to it.
If they only realized, that in their soul was a spirit of the devil that was dominating their life, then it can't be nothing else.
E-14 One night before I leave, I want to speak on demonology, and my personal acquaintance with it, that you'd understand what it-- what it is.
So brother Branham desired for us to understand this spirit realm of what it is, because it’s what directly affects our everyday lives, and so we want to see by what God has shown to us by the message of the hour how that these spirits affect people and gain access into people and how they will also leave a person.
***Evil spirits won’t hang around you for very long when you are believing and confessing the word of God.
We must first realise that a spirit has to first get you to agree with it before it can have access into your spirit. That is why when thoughts come to you that are contrary to the word you must dismiss them immediately.
When a person’s thoughts aligns themselves in a certain channel of agreement with the enemy on something negative and against the word of God, then that is what can give access to an evil spirit to enter that person just the same as a spirit of cancer can get into a person’s body by a bruise. So to put up a defence against these things, we must fill our minds with the thoughts of the word of God only… the shield of faith in the word will protect us from these things.
Another way that evil spirits can enter a person is by them being irreverent or disrespectful to the word.

E-27 The people passed by me; they never even put their hands on me or me on them. And they passed by me, and such strength went from me on account of that healing... Those people believing. I didn't have to pray for them. Their faith reached in and got it (You see?) just the same as I was praying for them. So I got so weak from the prayer line on the last night, where nearly three thousand passed by me alone on that night, three thousand, till I collapsed in the floor. And they picked me up all around the arms, two men, and packed me to door.
And there'd been many spirits had went out of the people and got into others. This one woman had went insane. She was--got her mind off the Lord onto some woman was talking to her, setting there, she turned around while I was praying to talk to the woman and an insane spirit come upon her (Notice that one of the things that can allow evil spirits to come into people is by being disrespectful and irreverent to the Lord and to his servant). I had to leave the poor soul like that; she's still insane. And there's many epileptics that went from one to another like that until...
We know that an evil spirit troubled Saul because of his disrespect in that he did not wait for Samuel to offer the burnt offering in 1st Samuel 13.
I SAMUEL 16:14-16
14 ¶ But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
Another thing that affects spirits is music.
Holy Ghost inspired words and music can bring healing, it can drive away evil spirits from people, but rock and roll and pop music can cause the Holy Spirit to leave a person and cause an evil spirit to come upon them.

E-19 They went on back down, and the Spirit departed from Saul. He'd backslid and went so far away from God until the Spirit had left him, and a evil spirit took His place, come on Saul. And Saul was all moody and in a bad humor, and--and kicking things around, all out of sorts like some people gets on Monday morning. So they--he was out of sorts all the time. Did you know that's a evil spirit? That's exactly.
So they didn't... The doctors couldn't do him any good. They had a lot of doctors down there, but they couldn't help that, because it was a spiritual condition. So one of the men had passed around and seen a few places, they said, "Well, we know where there's a Divine healer at."
"Why, who would that be?"
Said, "Jesse's got a son back out there, he..." Yeah, he's a Divine healer. Sure he was. He healed by music. Amen. That's what he did. He had a gift of casting out evil spirits. The Holy Ghost hadn't come in those days, so he cast them out by music, playing the words of the Lord. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters." And it disturbed the evil spirits so much that they left Saul.
E-20 Shame on you people don't believe in string music. No wonder, evil spirits never like it. They have to get away. David cast out devils by playing on his string instrument. That's what the Scripture says. That's right. And when David would begin to play, the evil spirit would leave Saul. Is that right?
