A Law that Cannot be Changed

A Law that Cannot be Changed

DANIEL 6:1-5

     1     ¶ It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

2   And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

3   Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him (it was the spirit of the wisdom of God); and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. (Daniel is a type of the end time bride of Christ of this hour because he also desires to set the bride over the whole realm of the kingdom that is to come.)

4   Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.     5   Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Their only chance to bring hurt and to destroy Daniel was to change the law of the land against what Daniel believed and obeyed, and to attach a death penalty to anyone who broke that law.

A Law that Cannot be Changed

DANIEL 6:6-9

6     ¶ Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. (Look at the flatteries of politically minded men, but their real motive and purpose was to get their own way (be very careful of people that flatter you).

Look at where this all began, it began with a spirit of jealousy in their hearts against a faithful and innocent man – Danial.)

7   All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

8   Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

9   Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

***The law of the Medes and Persians once written and signed could not be changed. We also know that the word of God cannot be changed either – so we see that there is a parallel here, and so there is a secret that lays in this story that shows us how the devil uses this strategy many times to try to destroy the people of God.

*These wicked men knew that the only way to destroy Daniel was to cause the king to sign an unchangeable law that the penalty was death if that law was disobeyed, and they also knew that Daniel would be forced by his believe to choose between the law of God and the law of man – so this was a trap that they thought was full proof that would destroy Daniel. This is what the bride is going to face before things are over, because this has always been the strategy of the devil.

These politicians couldn’t destroy Daniel directly – so they created a law that could not be changed for the purpose to trap him into breaking that law.

*This is the same trick that Satan used in the beginning to bring death into the human race.

GENESIS 2:16-17

16     ¶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17   But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

**Satan couldn’t directly hurt Even in the Garden of Eden, so the only way he could destroy her was to get her to break a law that could not be changed, a law that if broken had the penalty of death attached to it.

***Satan’s only chance of victory was to somehow get Eve to disobey the law of God, and then God himself would be forced by his own law (that could not be changed) to destroy his own children whom he loved just like king Darius was forced to destroy Daniel of whom he loved.

**Satan knew that the word of God was a law that could not be changed. Eve didn’t know that like Satan knew that, she hadn’t been around long enough to learn that properly, and that is the same problem with multitudes of so called Christians today, they do not realise that God’s word is like a law that can never under any circumstances be changed.

**Look at the inspiration of the devil that came upon these wicked men against Daniel, all they had to do was to get Daniel to break just one single law that couldn’t be changed, and if that law had a death penalty attached to it, then that was the end of Daniel.

Let’s follow the story…

DANIEL 6:10-28

10   Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. (Daniel knew very well what these evil men were up to, but he had already purposed in his heart to obey the true God. That is what we must also do before our hour of temptation comes – we must purpose in our hearts beforehand that when the laws of the land changed against us, then we will stand like Daniel stood in his day because that is our type.

***Remember the law was forbidding the asking of petitions from any other God save the king, trying to force Daniel to come under the headship of a man’s provision instead of the provision of God – that is what will be the same pressure in this end time age, they will try to force us to come under man’s provision and headship or you won’t be able to buy or sell, and if you can’t buy or sell then that is effectively a death sentence.)

11     ¶ Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. (They had all their CCTV cameras recording every move and tracing Daniel’s every step just like they have today, they can trace you everywhere you go with your cell phone, and there are cameras watching you everywhere)

12   Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

13   Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of (the Branhamite cult) the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

14   Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him. (Notice – it was the evening time - this is where we are right now, this is when Satan is sure that he will destroy the bride of Christ for the last time)

15   Then these men assembled unto the king (look at when they are gathering to bring a persecution against Daniel – at evening time), and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

16   Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. (Now the penalty of the Law has been carried out, Daniel has been cast into the den of lions – judgment has been met, and these wicked men were counting on the lions eating Daniel) Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. (Notice that at this same time there was a prophetic voice of a king present to encourage Daniel in the face of this great peril – we have also heard a prophetic voice of the King of kings in this hour through the voice of a vindicated prophet to give us hope in this day when all the lions from the pit are set against us)

17   And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

18     ¶ Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

19   Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

20   And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

21   Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

22   My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

23   Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because (he trusted in the politicians?? – don’t ever put your trust in politicians, especially when they are against the word of God) he believed in his God.

24    And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. (Look what these wicked men brought upon their wives and children because of what began as a jealousy in their hearts. As men of God in this hour we must always put God first, this is what will bring deliverance to our wives and children – if by going against God these men brought about the destruction of their wives and children, then by staying with the word of this hour is what will also bring about a salvation to our wives and children, it cannot work one way and not work the other way)

25     ¶ Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. (After the last temptation of the bride in this day, then peace will reign over the entire earth during the millennium.)

26   I make a decree (he is not being influence by politicians now, he learnt his lesson well from the last time), That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27   He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28   So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Balaam couldn’t directly curse the people of God either, so he caused them to come into a situation that they began to compromise and to break the law of God, and then God was forced by his own law (that could not be changed) to destroy them. It’s the exact same trick.

***This is something we need to learn real good – the word of God is a law that cannot be changed.

MALACHI 3:6

     6   For I am the LORD, I change not;

NUMBERS 24:1-2

1     ¶ And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

2   And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

NUMBERS 24:12-13

12   And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

13   If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold (Notice what was deep down in Balaam’s heart, he was motivated by money, he was using religion falsely to acquire wealth – whenever you see men making vast sums of money out of religion, you know it is the same spirit that was on Balaam), I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD (because the word of the Lord is a law that cannot be changed), to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?

NUMBERS 25:1-5

1     ¶ And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. (they are getting mixed up with the world just like Eve got mixed with the serpent)

2   And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

3   And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

4   And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

5   And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

Death followed Israel when they mixed together with unbelief.

Balaam tricked Israel into joining with them in false worship.

All that worship wrong shall be destroyed” - that’s the first commandment of God, thou shalt not worship any other god beside me.

*All whose names are not written on the lamb’s book of life shall worship the beast and be destroyed. Revelation 13:8

***Who you worship reveals your destiny.

ROMANS 1:25-28

25   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27   And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

     28   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind (a unfit mind, a perverted way of thinking), to do those things which are not convenient;

*When these people of reprobate mind sin, they are breaking the law of God that cannot be changed, and the wages of sin is death.

**God does not directly destroy them, he just lets them sin the way they want to because they have already rejected his word, but then the penalty of the law of God (that cannot be changed) applies to them.

***Bur remember that for the believer, Christ took that penalty of our sin upon himself at Calvary.

ROMANS 5:8-13

8   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9   Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10   For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11   And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12   Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13   (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Remember that Satan’s whole purpose is to try to get you to break the word of God, because the word of God is a law that God himself will be forced to bring judgement upon you if that law is broken – that has always been Satan’s number one trick down through the ages since Eden, and he has had great success using this technique.

***Notice carefully - How God delivered Daniel out of this trap reveals how God will also deliver us in this hour.

DANIEL 6:22

22   My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me:

***God has sent his angel to us also in this hour, because the devil is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour – all that do not have an angel sent to them to protect them in this hour will be devoured.

*An Angel descended to Daniel to preserve his life in the face of the hungry lions.

*An Angel descended to Mary and Joseph and they escaped Herod’s decree of death to kill all the babies.

*An Angel descended to the tomb where Jesus was buried and rolled away the stone at the resurrection of Christ.

*An Angel descended in Revelation 10:1

REVELATION 22:16

16   I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

***What protects the church of God? - The angels that he sends to testify the word of God to us, that’s what the seven church age messengers were all about. Now what about this hour when the pit has been opened and Satan is roaring as a lion seeking whom he may devour. We need the protection of an angel’s message all through the darkness of this night time.

There was a greater law that met the challenge of the trap of the enemy and the penalty of death, and that was the law the love of God and the way of escape that God has provided for every true believer that puts their trust in Him.

***The law of God cannot be changed, but the grace of God took that law upon himself and met his own judgement and sent an angel to shut the mouth of the lions.

JOHN 3:16

16   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

E-7   …And I believe that every Word can never be changed if God has once spoke It, and It's forever the Truth. See? See? You and I keep learning more wisdom. You know more now than you did a few years ago.

E-8   A little girl setting here, now, she's just a child. Her parents has to lead her. After while she'll grow up and probably in her day she progresses, she might be smarter than her mother is now (See?), 'cause she keeps progressing, but God is infinite. He can't change. He has to... He--He was--He was perfect to begin with. He will be the same at the end. He--He can't change. So whatever His attitude was towards anything in the Bible, it has to be same now, or He did wrong the way He acted then. See? So He's got to never change.

He will never change his mind about His word concerning your salvation or your healing or your deliverance or about your eternal life and peace and joy forevermore – these things are promised to us and they can never be changed.
