Drugs and Demonology
MATTHEW 12:43-45
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Notice - A whole generation has become demon filled seven times worse than before with spirits more wicked than before – this is certainly a prophecy of this day that we are living in.
ACTS 8:5-8
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.
When Christ is preached, then unclean spirits leave the people. If you want to get clean, just get under the preaching of the true word of Christ and you’ll be washed clean by the water of the word.
*Last week we dealt with “Music and Demonology”.
The devil uses music as a teaching tool to “educate” his subjects into thinking the thoughts that he wants them to think which is nothing short of legalised brain washing – this has played a big part in destroying the morals of our society along with Hollywood movies – “what monkey sees monkey does”.
*We also learnt that rock and pop music is also a battle cry against the bride of Christ in these last days because we are living in Satan’s Eden where the devil is in full battle flight against the truth of this hour – all hell is against this revelation of the word for this hour.
***Remember the two groups of brides in the vision of brother Branham, one was marching to the tune of “Onward Christian Solders”, and the other was dancing to rock and roll.
Drugs and Demonology
We are not just talking about the taking of illegal drugs like cocaine and marijuana, but also medically prescribed drugs as well.
We have become a generation of drug takers, and they are certainly not all bad, if fact some are very good, and God has allowed their discovery to be a great help and relief to the suffering of man – but where there is a positive then there is always the negative.
People that use illicit drugs like cocaine and marijuana predominantly used them to make them “feel” better and feel happy.
Cocaine causes people to experience an intense rush of euphoria, energy and confidence.
Euphoria is a feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness.
That is what a human being experienced constantly in the presence of God – “in his presence is fulness of joy, at his right hand are pleasures forever more”, but when man was separated from God he has to now try to get that feeling back by other ways and means, especially if he doesn’t have Christ in his life.
So the point is that certain chemicals (weather being illicit drugs or even some prescribed drugs) when taken into the body can change the way a person actually thinks (just like music can). And the way a person thinks is very important because demon spirits can ride in on certain thoughts.
***When sister Nelly stopped to listen to the rock and roll music in the message “The Greatest Battle ever Fought”, and she began to think how wonderful it had been to win all the cups for her dancing, and right in that moment an evil spirit that looked like a big hairy bat came riding in to her spirit on those thoughts.
**Show slides - Look at these charts of drug abuse and the level of dependency and addiction and the most dangerous drug of them all. The most dangerous drug (even more dangerous than heroin) is Alcohol – and yet it is legal and the most accessible of all the drugs. It should be made illegal right now.

E-25 …A woman cannot wear shorts without having an evil spirit on her. You get that. Because she might not believe it in her intellectuals, but Satan has put that spirit on her to show herself before men.
**But how does that spirit affect a woman that would wear shorts? – By the way she thinks about that its ok to wear shorts and to show herself off.
***It is the way she “THINKS” – her thoughts have received an evil spirit that is dwelling in them and contaminating them, so that spirit is not in her flesh like a sickness in her body, but it is a sickness in her mind – she is mentally altered.
Her reasoning has been deceived so that it causes her to sin, and then she’ll have to stand the judgement and be condemned for it if she doesn’t repent.
Notice again - that this unclean spirit has now entered into and is dwelling in the 5 senses of her mind, her memory, imagination, conscience, reason and affection have been altered away from the word of God so that she thinks contrary to the word of God.
***So to get that spirit out would be to become a believer of the word contrary to her thinking.
So when a person becomes totally insane, it is just that an evil spirit has completely taken over the persons thinking, because insanity is to do with the mind.
Disrespect (Talk about for a minute)
Disrespect to the things of God and also to God’s servants and even toward one another can bring on disasters and even allow evil spirits to access people.
God demands respects.

E-27 …And there'd been many spirits had went out of the people and got into others. This one woman had went insane. She was--got her mind off the Lord onto some woman was talking to her, setting there, she turned around while I was praying to talk to the woman and an insane spirit come upon her (Notice that by just being irreverent to the Lord and to his servant gave allowed an insane spirit to get in a woman). I had to leave the poor soul like that; she's still insane. And there's many epileptics that went from one to another like that until...
Remember sister Meda Branham when she slammed the door on God’s prophet, it caused a dormant tumour to manifest and grow.
So a way for spirits to enter people is through the changing of a person thoughts by either playing rock and pop music and brain washing them with the filth of many of the lyrics of these songs thereby changing the way they think about morals and life and love and relationships, so in a similar way can medication change the way that people think, because certain drugs can affect the mind and the reasoning, and that can provide a channel for these evil spirits to ride in on.

E-40 That night in the service, Brother Brown said, "Come down here, Brother Branham, and I'll show you a sight that you've never seen."
And I went down the steps, and there stood a very typical old Arkansas brother, standing there with a pair of washed out overalls on, standing on--on the steps as you went down to the auditorium.
And I said, "Howdy do, sir."
And he said, "Howdy do, Brother Branham."
And I went on down. And I said, "Where's the case?"
Said, "There she is."
And laying over there was a lady. A strong looking, great strong arms and limbs. And the blood was just trenching down the leg like that. Was laying on her back, her feet sticking right up and her hands, right up like that, laying on her back, laying over in a corner. And I said, "Why's she bleeding?"
Said, "Brother Branham." Said, "She lost her mind from a shot that the doctor give her in the menopause."...?... but the... In the menopause, and gave her a shot, and it went to her mind. And she lost her mind.
And said, "She's been in the institution two years."
**A drug that the Doctor gave her affected her mind in a way that an insane devil got into this woman’s mind.

105 There was a man standing on the steps, just a good old Arkansas brother with a pair of overalls on and a blue shirt. Friends, I will say, sometimes the best of hearts beat under that. That's right. That's true, I believe. I--I don't like any put on. I--I like real old fashion men and women (That's right.) God-saved, twice borned. And he was standing there, had his old faded-out-looking clothes on. I said... Walked down.
I said, "How do you do?"
And he said, "Good evening. Are you Brother Branham?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
Said, "I thought you was."
The PA system was taking it down in there also. They had a bunch of insane on one side.
107 But they couldn't keep this woman with no one. Taken about eight or ten men to bring her in. They couldn't bring her in an ambulance. They wouldn't put her in an ambulance. And they sent someone up there in a car, and she kicked all the glasses out of the car, and them men trying to hold her in the car. And there she was, laying on her back. Doctor had give her some shots for premature change of life had run her into this. And there she was, laying on her back.
And I said, "Well, I will walk out and see if I feel any vibrations."
He said, "Brother Branham, don't you go out there." Said, "She'd kill you." I said, "Oh, I think not," just like that.
And I walked out. She was laying there, looking at me, kind of batting her eyes, staring. And I said, "Good evening." She never said a word. I took a hold of her hand. I said, "Good evening."
Said, "She don't even know her own name, Brother Branham. She hasn't known for two years."
112 And I took a hold of her hand. And just by God's blessing I happened to be on the guard. She just gave me a jerk with both hands, like that, and she would've probably broke the bones of my body. And I threw my foot out and caught her right across the bosom. She just pulled me way down. I jerked away from her. And then when I run from her to get on the steps, I seen a sight that I've never seen before. That woman, with her two limbs sticking up in the air, like this, come chasing me, on her back, like a snake. You could hear her crawling like that, on the floor.
Now, that's the devil. You can say other, what you desire, but that woman was bound by the devil. She came to me on her back, like a serpent, and she got up there and she hit against the side of the floor like that. She turned around, put her big strong limbs up against... kicked like that. There was a bench setting there. She hit it with her head; the blood flew out of the side of her head. And--and she knocked a piece of it off. And she grabbed it in her hand, threw it at her husband and struck the wall. And the plastering fell from the wall, where she hit it with such a terrific... Maniac, twenty times her strength, probably... And there that great... She was a good size, strong woman, anyhow.
114 And then she started making a real funny noise, going, "E-e-e-e-e-e, eeeeee," like that.
I looked at her, and I thought "Why, I've never seen nothing... God have mercy on a poor human being bound like that."
And the man commenced to crying. He walked over and put his hands around, his arms around me, said, "Brother Branham, now you say there's no vibration?" Said, "And I don't know what am I going to go." He just broke down, to crying. He said, "She's got five little children at home." And said, "I--I... She's been a good woman." Said, "She harrowed these old clods and helped me to raise cotton crops." And said, "When she taken sick," said, "I've done everything that I could do. I--I sold my farm." And said, "In order to get her here, Brother Branham, I had one thing left, a pair of mules. And I sold them to get the brother to bring her two hundred miles, to bring her down here. And now she's kicked the glasses out of the car, that's why her limbs are bleeding." Said, "She hasn't been off her back for two years, and don't even know her own name."
I said, "Well, brother, sure, God can heal her."
116 And about that time she turned around. She said, "William Branham, you have nothing to do with me. I brought her here."
He said, "Why..."
I said, "That's not her. That's that devil speaking out of her." That's right. They recognize. They know.
He said, "Why, Brother Branham, that's the first word she spoke in two years."
I said, "The devil's just using her lips, just like it was in the case of legion."
She come crawling over that way to me, said, "You ain't got nothing to do with me," crawling like that.
121 I said, "Brother, do you believe the story that you heard me tell about the coming of that Angel?"
He said, "With all my heart," he said, as he threw his arms around me.
I walked to the corner step, and I prayed with all my heart to the Lord Jesus. I said, "God, look at that poor woman, five little innocent children at home, no mother, one suckling baby." I said, "What can happen? O God, have mercy." And the Spirit of the Lord came. And I asked the devil to leave the woman.
Turned back around, I said, "Now do you believe it?"
He said, "With all my heart. What shall I do with her, Brother Branham?"
I said, "Take her back. Take her right on back to the sanatorium." I said, "If you don't doubt one thing that I've told you, watch what will happen."
126 Two months after then, I was at Jonesboro, Arkansas, there where many things was being happening. Some twenty-eight thousand people had gathered into the city. And I was speaking, and I seen, pressing or waving their hands at me, some woman. She said, "Don't you recognize me, Brother Branham?"
I said, "No, ma'am." She was setting out like that, and everyone...
Said, "I... You all, all of you excuse me." She said, "I just wanted to see you."
And I seen somebody laughing there, it was her husband. And there she was setting there just as normal and in her right mind, with her five little children, just as perfect as she could be.
They'd taken her back. She never kicked the car one time, going back. They put her back in the padded cell. The second morning, they went in to feed her, and she was setting up. And on the fourth, third or fourth morning, they dismissed her as a well person, and sent her home to her children. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
**There are 3 levels of advancement that a demon spirits will try to put pressure upon you to advance you along. Your protection from demon oppression is to always believe the word - the devil can have no power over you if you believe and confess and stay behind the truth of the word of God.
1st level is “Oppression” = Harassment, buffeting, like a ship being constantly bumped up against the side of a wharf by the swell of the sea. That is what we have to put up with in this world all the time, like there is no rest, everywhere you go there is rock and pop music in the supermarkets, in the eating places, in the service stations, in the malls, and the display of flesh is getting worse, it has infiltrated every avenue of life – we are living in an age of where the seven demons that are worse than all the other ages have entered into the people.
2nd Level is “Obsession” = that is when you freely open your spirit up to a certain channel and allow yourself to agree with and accept it and be entertained by it and you try and justify it to yourself like sister Nelly did, and then that seed begins to grow tentacles and becomes an obsession in your life and starts to take over and control your spirit so that everything you do is connected to the purpose of that obsession, and you don’t realise that that thing is an evil spirit trying to take control over your life – it wants to be the boss and rule over you.
3rd Level is “Possession” that is when an evil spirit takes full control of a person and they have little say or control over what they are doing when that spirit takes control over them and use them for itself. It has become the headship and the control tower of their spirit and body.

E-23 And all over the country... But the people have gone wild, frantically. The reason they do that is because they don't know anything better. Oh, how I wish that they knowed the Lord Jesus. How much better... I do not condemn; I feel sorry for the mortal. And now, would not that even be appropriate in the day that we live, that when things are going the way they are, and the idol of America is the hollywood glamor girl, when she sets the pace of all America... When, let her come out with her immoral dressings on... And practically every woman in America will fashion after her.
It was a--a heart pain to me not long ago standing in Rome, when the newspapers give a headline of this woman that they had in the paper the other day was going to have a baby in Hollywood, a Roman. And they said in the paper, the newspaper, which my friend of Baron Von Blomberg could speak seven different languages and read the paper plainly, he said, "She may be a American goddess, but she's here a Roman prostitute."
E-24 What a disgrace. Now, they have to have things like that. That has to happen to cope with the spirit of the day. That's the reason that this church is coming in with the worship of Mary, of other women, and things. It's that same spirit under a religious head. And that's the reason they have to get your mind off the unadulterated Word of God to produce that program. Sure. Do you see the twist that we're in? Do you see the American youth, what condition it's in? That's men and women of tomorrow. No wonder Jesus said, "Except these days be shortened, no flesh would be saved."
