Hold Fast till I Come

Duration:1 hr 33 mins 48 secs

Hold Fast till I Come

REVELATION 2:25 (Speaking of the Thyatirean Church age – the 4th age)

25   But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

We know that the believers of that age died holding onto the truth that they had received for that age – and they are still holding to that truth right now in that other place – death only changes your dwelling place, it doesn’t change what you believe.

REVELATION 3:3a (Sardis church age)

3   Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast,

Again – what they had received and heard for that age, they were to hold fast, don’t let it go.

REVELATION 3:11 (Philadelphian church age)

11   Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Notice again in each of these ages – hold fast, hold fast, hold fast… The truth you have received for your age, hold fast to it until I come)

REVELATION 2:25 (Read again)

25   But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Hold Fast till I Come

Encouragement as we face the New Year… To not let these things slip of what is most important, slip from us by the distractions of this age.

THE.THIRD.SEAL_ JEFF.IN WEDNESDAY_ 63-0320

230-6 {12}   … if I knew He was coming tomorrow night, tomorrow night, tomorrow I would study and ask Him to give me the message for the Fourth Seal; I'd come down here preach it just the same. See? I--I want to be doing every day just what I would be doing if He comes. And I don't know no other better place than to be caught right at the post of duty (See?), at the post of duty. So we just keep carrying on till He comes.

THE.MARK.OF.THE.BEAST.AND.THE.SEAL.OF.GOD.2_ LONG.BEACH.CA FRIDAY_ 61-0217

E-30   …. So it's our--our duty to keep carrying on until He comes.

There was a motivational poster produced by the British government in 1939 in preparation for World War II that said “Keep Calm and Carry On”. The poster was intended to raise the morale of the British public, threatened with widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities.

There were two other posters circulation at that same time which read "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory" and "Freedom Is in Peril / Defend It With All Your Might".

**As believers of this hour, we are also at war against this age of unbelief and of what Satan is trying to take from us of the truth of what God has rightfully given to us in this hour. That is why like Daniel and them in Babylon, we must purpose in our hearts to carry on at our post of duty serving the Lord and reading his word and feeding our souls on the revelation for this hour, and serving one another in love, and to not get weary in well doing but to keep carrying on until he comes as God’s prophet told us to do.

**By the grace of God that is what I have purposed in my heart for this year and until he comes as the scriptures tell us, knowing that whatever 2021 brings, we will trust in the Lord being sure of this one thing, that He will work all things out for our good when we all come to the end of the road.

I THESSALONIANS 5:21

21   Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

This word “Prove” = to recognise as genuine after examination.

We have been examining this message for many years now and I trust that we have come to a place that we have recognised this message as genuine. Then once we have recognised it as genuine as this scripture says, then we are to hold it fast.

This term hold fast”= Greek word katecho {kat-ekh'-o}there are slightly varying meanings given for this word, but one of the meanings is “to check a ship's headway i.e. to hold or head the ship, to keep secure, keep firm possession of… Like at the helm of a sailing ship, you have to work at it to keep it heading forward in the right direction because the wind is contrary, so you have to keep holding the pressure on the helm’s wheel to keep it sailing straight.

Other meaning of “To hold fast” means to attend to carefully, to take care of, to not discard or let go; to keep carefully and faithfully, to continue to hold, to retain and to guard. We are commanded by the scriptures to be faithful stewards of the mysteries.

“Hold fast that which is good” This truth that we have been given by this message that has come to us is about the only thing in this age that can truly be called good.

II THESSALONIANS 2:15

15   Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

**So how do you hold onto something with a good tight grip?

First you must consider it a possession of value – because that will really help with your courage, because as humans we will naturally fight for things that we consider of value. That is why when we see people who claim to be believers of this message, but are not all that interested in the revelation of this hour, it shows us that it is not really a thing of too much value to them.

*In order to hold fast the truth that has come to us in this hour, you must first be convinced that it is genuine, then you must realise its great value and consider it a great possession of value, like the merchant man in Mathew 13 that sold all he had to obtain to pearl of great price.

Then once you have established that this revelation that has been sent by God in this hour is of great value, then you must obtain a good grip on it or you will not be able to hold it fast in the storms that have been prophesied for this time. Like a sailing master of a sailing ship, it’s easy to keep course in fine weather, but during the storms you will need more than just fair weather sailing skills – you will need a much greater level of knowledge of your trade.

**So to have a good grip on something can also be interpreted as having a good understanding of your subject matter.

And so to hold fast to the message of this hour we must first have a good understanding of its truths. It is very important that the revelation of this hour is made clear to you by the sealing of the Holy Spirit into your mind and heart – that is what we are striving for as ministers, is to get the elect of God anchored deep on these things of eternal value and to hold fast onto them until he comes even if we die before the rapture happens, it makes no difference.

So why is it that some people that we knew well and that were our associates in this message, and that we once called brother and sister – why have some of them lost their grip on the truth of this hour and have falling away because of the distractions and glitter of Laodicea or by something they read on the internet that some backslidden X message believer presented in a bias way to influence the weak.

12   ... I'm afraid I'll get too deep if I try to get into the Book of Jude here, because it's on the "gainsaying of Korah" and--and "running after the error of Balaam, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah," which probably take us a long time. I want to pray for the sick that's here this morning...

Gainsaying is to speak against or oppose something – Korah opposed and spoke against Moses.

We find that this same problem of gainsaying and people leaving the faith of the revelation of God for their day existed right from the beginning in the early church.

II TIMOTHY 1:13

13   Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Paul is writing this to Timothy because many were not holding fast – many were drifting away from the truth of the word that had been established in that hour.

We see the same exhortation repeated by Paul through Hebrews

HEBREWS 3:6

6   But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

HEBREWS 4:14

14   Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

HEBREWS 10:23

23   Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

PROVERBS 4:13-19

13   Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

14     ¶ Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

15   Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

16   For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

17   For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

18   But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

19   The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

239-1   THYATIREAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.6

THE PROMISE IN THOSE DARK DAYS

Revelation 2:24-25.

"But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depth of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come."

Now before we go into the promise let me show again that the church as spoken of by the Spirit in this book has two vines whose inter-winding branches compose it.

"But I say unto you, and unto the rest in Thyatira as many as have not this doctrine."

There it is. He is speaking to the two groups. One has the doctrine, another has not. There they are, scattered abroad across the nations with each one's doctrine opposing the other. One is of God, knowing His depths, the other of Satan, knowing the depths of Satan.

*** There are Two advanced schools of knowledge in this day – one group is learning of the depths of God though the revelation that God has sent in this hour by a vindicated prophet, and the other group is learning of the depths of Satan by the advancement of technology and the information highways of the world.

One is feeding upon the tree of life (Christ) and the other is feeding on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Satan)

SATAN'S.EDEN_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-20 SUNDAY_ 65-0829

14     Now, let us look now to this great... for a few minutes, this great, sinful day that we're now living in. I don't believe there ever was a day that I've ever read in history... There's been greater days of persecution, when the children of God was put to death on every hand. But to see the deceitfulness of the enemy, we've never had a day like this we're now living. It's the most cunning, deceitful day. And when I see that, it brings this, that, the Christian has to be more on his toe today than he ever was in any age.

Our opening 3 scriptures – throughout the ages from Paul’s day to this day, we see this same admonition to “hold fast” to the truth that has come in your day. Hold it fast until I come.

REVELATION 2:25

25   But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

REVELATION 3:3a

3   Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast,

REVELATION 3:11

11   Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

THE.QUEEN.OF.THE.SOUTH_ INDIANAPOLIS.IN FRIDAY_ 57-0614

E-9   But where the Supernatural is did, then it attracts attention of a mixed multitude of people. If we only had time, we could go down into Egypt and see when Moses and Aaron... While they were in Egypt, the Supernatural was done. A mixed multitude followed them in the wilderness, which finally perished in the gainsaying of Korah.

But God has always confirmed His Word. And the living God lives in His Word and makes His Word real in every generation.

12   ... I want to pray for the sick that's here this morning...

Finish with a bible reading of Jude as mentioned by brother Branham – we see that what applied in the days of the early church also directly apples to the elect of this day as a warning and also an encouragement for us to hold fast to these things that have been so dearly given to us in this hour.

JUDE 1:1-25

1     ¶ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

2   Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

3     ¶ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4   For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5   I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6   And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7   Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8     ¶ Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

9   Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

10   But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11   Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain (Cain wanted God to accept his religious sacrifice that was contrary to the revelation for that hour – and God rejected it), and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward (Balaam was hungry for the dollars – that was what was more important to him than staying true to the word of God – and look what happened to him) , and perished in the gainsaying of Core. (Korah was the one who withstood the exodus prophet of that day saying that he and the others were just as good as Moses, and the earth open up and swallowed them down and all that went over to their side perished – you watch people that leave this message because of the gainsaying of Korah in this day – the earth (worldliness) eventually swallows them up)

     12   These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13   Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14   And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15     ¶ To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

(Enoch had prophesied of the rejection of the people and the judgment of God for this day that we are living)

16   These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

     17   But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18   How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19   These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

20   But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21   Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22   And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23   And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24   Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25   To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
