The Invasion of the Locusts Pt.2
JOEL 1:1-4 (We read this scripture last week)
1 ¶ The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? (In other words – “as far back as you can remember, has anyone ever seen anything like this happen before of these locusts eating down the land at such a devastating level”. They had never sever seen it before, and we are witnessing this same thing in the world today because there are unprecedented things happening that have never happened before compared to any previous age)
3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.
The Invasion of the Locusts Pt.2
We want to back up a little and lay some more foundation to this study whilst not repeating too much of what we covered last week.
*In the message “The Restoration of the Bride Tree” 1962, Brother Branham explains to us how that the Palmerworm, the Locust, the Cankerworm, and the caterpillar was the same Locust insect in 4 different stages like in the church ages it was the same anti-Christ spirit riding on 4 different horses.
- The Palmerworm ate the fruit of the tree, and your fruit is your love, joy peace etc…
- The Locust ate the leaves – the fellowship. After a while you can’t get seem to get along in fellowship with your brother, you leave church in a huff on the grounds that the minister forgot to shake your hand after service, or he looked at you funny, or he didn’t invite you to lunch.
You are to leave your minister if he leaves the word, or if he fails to preach the full word of the truth of this hour (both are almost the same thing), that is the only reason that a prophet of God gave us in this hour – it should have nothing to do with his ability to charm you socially. Jesus wasn’t a social charmer – that was not what he built his church on – he built it on the revelation of the word.
- The Cankerworm ate the bark, and the bark is the doctrine, the covering, and in this hour it is the doctrine of the message of the hour - the truth of the message is your covering and protection in this hour.
***Take the doctrine of this message away from you and you will have absolutely no protection from the religious deception of this day.
And the Caterpillar ate the life – and of course the life is the life of Christ that lives its life through you, and so that is the last stage before complete death.
*In the “The Restoration of the Bride Tree” message, brother Branham is referring to the church how these insects ate down the church and he also applied it to our personal lives as individuals in the walk of our Christian experience, so it applies to both, because the church at large is just the individual believer in a multiplied form. A nation is just one person in a multiplied form.
So this subject could sound negative for the individual person, but there is a promise in Joel that can also be applied to your personal life, and that is that
“ I will restore to you (you is a personal pronoun) the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
JOEL 2:25-26
***So this invasion of the locusts can be applied to the individual person of how these four stages of this insect can bring destruction to the spiritual condition of a person’s Christian life.
REVELATION 9:1-3
1 ¶ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (from last week we learnt that that was Lucifer, and the key that he was given was the key of the knowledge of science and technology – that is why science and technology has advanced so rapidly since WW1, because this fifth sounding angel is the one sounding the fifth trumpet which is WW1, and that was when this pit was opened up by Lucifer by unlocking a much greater speed of the advancement of science and technological knowledge upon the people of the earth – look at the advancement of technology that man has gone from just 100 years ago from 1920 to 2020)
2 And he (Lucifer) opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
These locusts were demon powers that began to come on and into people through the airwaves of the technology of radio and television, and as technology has increase, so has the access of the demons increase so that now what was in hell has come to earth and is now being created on earth.
***From last week we learnt that there are two main themes in the book of Joel.
1 – The invasion of the locusts – which is the pouring out of demon power from through the fourth dimension of radio and television upon the people in the form of deception (Remember that Joel chapter 1,2 and 3 is WW1, WW2, and WW3.
2 - The pouring out of the two rains – the former rain and the later rain. Which in this day is the teaching of the truth of the message of this hour to combat this locust invasion, it is this former rain that we as message believers are under right now that is causing us to be able to eat in plenty of the revelation of the truth of this hour.
***So Revelation chapter 9 begins with Lucifer and the invasion of the Locusts, and Revelation 10 begins with Christ and the rain, because what heals the crop is the rain. That is why Revelation 10 begins with; And I saw another mighty angel (not Lucifer this time but Christ) come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head,
Clouds and rainbows are associated with rain. So Joel chapters 1,2, and 3, is being repeated to us again here in Revelations chapter 9,10, and 11.
DEUTERONOMY 28:38-42
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. (Seed is wheat, and wheat is bread, and bread is the word which is Christ. The seed is the word, and Christ is the word, and Christ is the bread of life. So you go to church, and you read your bible, and you pay your tithes, and you work in the field, but yet you get little bread of life back in return for your religious efforts because of invasion of the locusts - in other words you get little revelation of the word back for your religious efforts, and this is the age when you need a greater revelation of the word than in any other age because you need rapturing faith revelation in this age to meet the challenge for this age.
*So this is a picture of the denominational world in these last days because of these consuming locusts. They do their religious effort but receive very little revelation of the word back in return – and this is also a picture of some people’s personal lives within this message world, they also receive little revelation back from their religious effort – and there is a scriptural reason for this, and that is what the book of Joel is dealing with)
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. (Wine is the stimulation of the revelation of the revealed word of the hour)
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. (Oil is the Holy Spirit that quickens the word and makes the spirit of the word alive in you)
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. (Look how the young people of this age are going into the captivity of all these addictions associated with cell phones and social media and all these other things, they are becoming totally captivated by it all)
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
Notice what the locust ate down – The Wheat, the Oil, and the Wine.
DEUTERONOMY 11:8-21
8 ¶ Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it; (They had been called out of Egypt by the voice of an Exodus prophet (Moses) to possess a new land, just like we have been called out of denominations in this hour by a 3rd Exodus prophet to possess this new land of the message of the hour, ours is not a natural land but a supernatural land of the restoration of faith)
9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey. (Christ is the honey in the rock of the revelation of this hour)
**10 For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
*** Notice here that God is making a contrast between the two lands.
*** Egypt was predominantly not a rain irrigated land as much as it was a land that was irrigated by the Nile River by the process of man-made channels and ditches, in other words it required the wisdom and the works and the organisation of man to be involved in order for them to be able to irrigate their crops which is a type of denominations which operate under the strength of organisational power and man’s involvement of works)
12 A land which the LORD thy God careth for (This message land that we have come into in this hour is not to do with man’s works caring for it as it was with the denominational land that we have come out of): the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
God is watching over this land of the restored truth of the message of this hour, and He will also watch over it for the whole of the 3 harvests, from the former rain to the later rain, from the feast of unleavened bread to feast of Tabernacles, and the feast of Tabernacles represents the body change in this hour. So in this land of the restoration of the truth of the message of this hour, God’s eyes are watching every little detail of what is going on in this land, and he will be doing this right to the end of the harvest of when the bride is raptured off the earth.
13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, (notice how this is conditional)
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. (***In Egypt they had to use the wisdom and the works of man to irrigate the crops, but in this new land, God was going to provide the irrigation for them himself in the form of rain, a former and a latter rain, and the former rain in this hour is the teaching of the message – so in this new land, the wisdom and the works of man are to cease of what it had been under the man age anointing, because God said that I will give you the rain in due season – that is spiritual food in due season in this hour)
15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. (Look at the very next warning)
16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
Deception of the heart would be the thing in this age that God is warning us to take special heed of because this age would be the most deceptive age of all ages, and it is also the age of many gods and idols that people are worshiping in this age.
Fashion idols, sports star idols, movie star idols, face book idols, YouTube idols, Britain’s got talent idols. **All these Idols are being presented to the people of the world through the power of the 4th dimension of where these locusts are streaming out into this realm and into the minds and hearts of the people as demon spirits.
17 And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
God was going to control the outpouring of the rain within the new land based on the condition of the hearts of the people. If the people’s hearts were turned aside to serve these other gods and to worship these other gods, then even though they were in the new land, God would turn off the rain, and the rain in this hour is the revelation of the word to the believer).
18 ¶ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
In these scriptures God is giving us instructions for this hour.
**One thing is for certain, if you are in the new land that the Exodus prophet of this hour has called you out of Egypt and into this new land, and the former rain of the revelation of the word of this hour has dried up in your life, then you can be certain of one thing, that the effect of these locusts have been at work in your life, because this is what our reading was in DEUTERONOMY 28:38-42:

39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

E-58 ... In the last days the Bible said that the devil would go about like a roaring lion, lying wonders, deceiving. Is that right? And when all hell opened up, remember all heaven open up, too. See?
***So when hell was opened up and all these demon spirits were released upon the inhabiters of the earth from out of the bottomless pit in Revelation 9, heaven was opened up also in Revelation 10. So we see that Revelation 9 and Revelation 10 is Christ and Lucifer side by side again contending for throne of the hearts of the people. That is why Lucifer has become the God of this evil age and is becoming incarnate in his subjects; he is now dwelling in the hearts of men and is worshiped by them, this had been his great desire and goal from the beginning.
But there is also a people in this age that have the received the word of the revelation of this hour into their hearts also.
I trust that we are some of them.
