Your New Name
REVELATION 2:17
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna (food that was kept secret), and will give him a white stone (A pure revelation of the word. This word “white” is used of white garments as the sign of innocence and purity of the soul, it is also spoken of as the whitening colour of ripening grain), and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
II CORINTHIANS 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
A new creature requires a new name.
Your New Name
When you are born into this world, one of the first things that takes place is that you are given a name (a new name for a new birth) – and so a new name is associated with new birth.
REVELATION 12:11a
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;
In each church age the cry was always “To him that overcometh”.
You cannot truly overcome outside of being in the word for your day, because it is the revelation of the word that does the overcoming for you when you put it on your lips and speak it as your testimony.
A testimony is when something is revealed to you that you can testify of.

This message was spoken to the third church age of Pergamos, but it is also a prophecy for this end time age because the church is one body – there are seven church ages, but only one church body of the bride of Christ.
So this scripture also applies to us in this age because we are living in the age when the word that was kept secret from the foundation of the world has been made know to an end time people. That is why all the seven messages to the seven church ages applies to us in this age.
To him that overcometh in this end time age - 3 things are given.
1- Hidden Manna
2- White Stone
3- New Name
Remember that Manna was angels’ food.
PSALM 78:25
25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.
After Israel left Egypt under the ministry of an Exodus prophet, they were fed “Manna” (angels’ food) from heaven.
So in this age we have also left the denominations to follow a third exodus prophet, and so we are also feeding on angels food of what those seven angels brought to us by the opening of the seven seals when the hidden things were revealed in this age – so we are feeding on this hidden manna in this age.
And so that hidden manner (which we given access to by the opening of the word in this age) produces a white stone – a clear revelation of the word.
White reflects all light – this is the bride age, the rising of the SON, the coming of the Lord – the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, voice and trump.
***So we have been given a pure and clear revelation by the word in this hour.

195 Now, that's what we was talking the other day, the evidence of the Holy Ghost. See? The evidence of the Holy Ghost is when you can receive the Word; not some system, but have a clear understand.
To him that overcometh - 3 things are given.
1- Hidden Manna
2- White Stone

Name = Greek word - onoma {on'-om-ah}
… the name is used for everything which the name covers, everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing, remembering, the name, i.e. for one's rank, authority, interests, pleasure, command, excellences, deeds etc.
Your name is the way you live your life, and that is how Adam named the animals, by the revelation of their life. He studied their characteristics because their nature was in effect their understanding - their revelation, in other words, they all lived out their own personal revelation.
***All a cat understands is that when you see a mouse you chase it, and you catch the mouse, and then you eat the mouse, because that is the revelation that he was born with, and that is why he acts that out because that is what he thinks in his mind – that is his nature.
We also were born with a nature called the “old nature” which (before we came to Christ) was our old way of thinking.
So your nature is a product of your thoughts (especially in the subconscious realm), and your thoughts are a product of your nature and what has come into your thinking. If the word has been revealed to you for your day then that begins to becomes your thinking, and that influences the way that you live or “manifest your name”,
So when you are given the white stone (a pure revelation of the word) then that changes the way that you think, and out of that comes a new nature and that produces your new name – old things are passing away and behold all things are becoming new.
So your name is the way you live your life after you have received the revelation of the hour.
Adam named the animals by studying their characteristics of their lives.
The Monkey was given his named because his character was that of a naughty little monkey.
The Cat was named because he was a cat by nature.
When you think of the name “Cat” you think of the nature and the lifestyle of that animal. The name is connected to the nature.

50 … And did you ever notice, our young boys has become "Ricky" and "Elvis." You got a child named that, change it right quick, call him number "one" or "two," or something. Don't, that's a horrible... You say, "What difference does the name mean?" Why, sure, it means something. Your name characterizes your life. "Now, Brother Branham, you're on numerology." No, I'm not! I'm on THUS SAITH THE LORD! Why was it when Jacob, he lived to his name, as--as deceiver, supplanter, Jacob. And when God changed him, He changed his name. God changed Saul to Paul, Simon to Peter. Certainly, it has something. And Ricky and Elvis, and such names as that, is the modern American name which throws a child automatically right into that. See what I mean?

So out of that white stone of the revelation of the word for your day comes your new name.
When you receive the revelation of the word for your day it is personal to you, and you know it yourself, but you cannot give it to someone else just by telling them.

313 …"A new name, a new name written in this rock that nobody knows but he himself." He knows who he is, but he can't tell others. See, see? No one knows but himself. See? Peter knows he had the keys, but you didn't hear him bragging about it.
Your new name is connected to your new nature (the new birth), not the new birth of the body, but the new birth of the soul by the new nature of God that is quickened in you by the word for your age.
Notice, out of this white rock (this pure revelation of the word) comes your new name, so your new name is connected to what has been revealed to you by the word for your day,
***It is this revelation of this hour that causes you to live the new life that you live, and you can only live to the level of what the word has been revealed to you.
***Your old nature and name was connected to your first birth by the seed of your natural father and mother, but your new nature and name is connected to your new birth by the seed of the revelation of the word of God.

17-2 …The Bible said, "He that overcometh will I give a white stone and a new name that no one knows but he himself."
Don't make any difference what people say. You know yourself when you've been brought into the inner veil. No one could tell you any different. Not because you joined church, because you did this or that, but something just tells you. You've got a stone that's in the heart, not a hard stone, a soft one. This stone makes your heart soft instead of hard.
A natural seed produced your natural birth into this temporary world, but the word for your day (when you recognised it and received it) is what brought you to the new birth of your spiritual eternal life from justification to sanctification to the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

31 And then, we notice then that this angel would receive--the angel of the church age that received the stone... It was a white stone, mean not his own righteousness, but God's own righteousness.
And in this stone was a name, a name that no one knowed but the one who received it himself. He knew it, but no one else could know it but him. When you hear these guys flatter you, telling there's--they're John, they're Paul, they're Mary, they're this, that, or the other. Don't you believe it, 'cause if it was, he'd never say nothing about it. See? That's right. He has to keep it to Hisself. He knowed; no one knowed but he himself, but he knowed because every perfect overcomer receives a new name in that--in that--that way.
There were two people in the Old Testament that had their names changed, that was Abram and Sarai to Abraham and Sarah, and the other one was Jacob to Israel.
Then there were two people in the New Testament that had their names changed and that was Simon to Peter and Saul to Paul.

It also says here that He is going to give the overcomer a white stone and in (not on) the stone a new name, which the owner alone knows. Now the idea of a new name is a familiar one. Abram was changed to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel, Simon to Peter, and Saul to Paul. These names either brought about a change, or were given because of a change. It was only after Abram and Sarai had their names changed by the Lord that they were made ready to receive the coming son. In Jacob's case, he had to overcome and then he was called a prince. In the case of Simon and Saul, when they had received the Lord, their change came.

The symbols of the book of Revelation are many times explained and expounded by Old Testament terminology.
GENESIS 32:1-29
1 ¶ And Jacob went on his way (Jacob means supplanter - supplanter = take another’s place by unfair methods – to oust out by deceitful means. This is what Lucifer tried to do in the beginning when he wanted Michael’s place and position, so we can see that this is not the character of Christ in Jacob, this was Jacob’s first birth character before his name was changed to Israel meaning a prince with God), and the angels of God met him.
(We have also met the angels of God in this age – 7 of them)
2 And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
3 ¶ And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
4 And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:
5 And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
6 And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.
7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;
8 And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape. (Look at his scheming under his old nature coming into action under pressure – This is a son of Abraham acting under the name and nature and thinking of his first birth nature)
9 ¶ And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.
12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. (Notice that he is confessing the promise of God concerning himself for that time)
13 ¶ And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;
14 Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
15 Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals. (Some people still think that they can buy their salvation with good works)
16 And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and drove.
17 And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou? and whose are these before thee?
18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.
19 And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him.
20 And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.

24 ¶ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. (Notice – the man wrestled with him – it is always God wresting with you, trying to bring you to himself)
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. (What is the breaking of the day in this age? It is when the SON rises; we are living in the time of the rising of the SON)
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

E-26 And to show him what He was going to do, He changed his name in the 17th chapter. And He changed Sarah's name. That's right. Watch those names, mean something. Why did He change Jacob's name to Israel? Why did He change Saul's name to Paul? Why did He do all those things? After He overcome and entered into glory He said that His Name was changed. In Revelations it's given a promise to those that overcome, He would make known His new Name. That's right. Every time they overcome they was given a new name.
Abraham, when he finally overcome, he was taken from the name of Abram, said, "You shall not be called Abram any more, but shall be called Abraham." Give him part of His Name, tacked His name onto it: Elo-him. H-i-m and h-a-m: Elohim. In other words, I am the Father of all things. See? And I'm making you a father of nations, so I've changed and give you part of My Name, father of nations, h-a-m. See? Elo-him, Abraham...
God has also given us a part of His nature in this age by giving us the revelation of Himself.

E-46 Now, we find out that Abraham, Abraham stayed out there; he was elected, a called out church. And remember, the Man that was in human flesh, the Man eat the flesh of a calf. He drank the milk from the cow. He drank his bread and had but--eat bread and had butter on it, drinking the milk from the cow. And Abraham called Him God. Look--take... Look at the translators, run it down, find out if that's right: Elohim, God. Now, I want you to notice, it was representing something, something that we want to let you positive see it.
Now, notice, then we find out that when the two men went down, the preachers went down to preach, two Angels went down to preach in Sodom... They never done this, this thing, this sign that they went down there and showed their sign, that they come to bring them out. But it wasn't the same sign the elected church got. The elected church got another sign. And now, notice what the church out there got, the One that stayed behind with the elected church. You remember when He was talking? He said, "Abraham..." Called him by his new name that God had just give him. "Abraham, where is Sarah (S-a-r-r-a-h, her new name)?" Why, He was the One that give it to them. Yeah.

139-4 {150} Now, watch, He said it would be known in the last day, but it comes forth in a church symbol. Do you understand it, church? It comes forth in a--a symbol of a church that they know there is a Seal, but just what it is yet, they don't know, because it's a white horse rider.
And it only is to be revealed at the last day when this actual Seal is broken. Broken to who? Not to Christ, but to the Church. Notice, now. Oh, my, that just makes me tremble. I--I--I hope that the Church truly understands it (See what I mean?), you people. I'm going to call you Bride. (See?) That you'll understand it.
Notice – for seven church ages up until the 18th of March 1963 the elect of God were called the “Church” of Christ, but now as the first seal is being opened on the 18th of March 1963 that name is changed from Church to Bride because this is now the time of the marriage of the Lamb.
When the seven seals were opened it was the manna, it was the angels food, the food for the bride for this last day. And this new revelation produces a new birth, and a new birth requires a new name.
For those who have received this white stone in this age, a new name is given to you.
You know who you are in this age by the grace of God and by the revelation of the hour.
Your New Name
